Adrian Compean Garcia
Bio
I am a first-generation Mexican-American, born and raised in Lexington, North Carolina. I attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where I earned a B.A. in Studio Arts in 2017.
During college, I concentrated in studio and darkroom photography. Influenced by my interest in structure and the relationship between negative and positive space, my work naturally leaned minimalist. Working with limited resources, I became drawn to the challenge of finding beauty in the overlooked—elevating everyday objects until they felt considered and desirable.
Through close creative collaboration and observation, I developed a deeper sensitivity to composition, restraint, and visual storytelling. This shift ultimately led me to pursue a career that balances both disciplines, directly and indirectly.
I am grateful for the opportunity to have worked with many talented individuals and small businesses throughout the Raleigh–Durham and Chapel Hill communities. My work continues to be driven by a desire to elevate brands and thoughtfully push creative boundaries.
Lately, my work at Peter Millar has focused on shaping digital experiences within the performance and luxury apparel space, translating brand narratives into visual systems that feel refined, intentional, and modern. I remain guided by a desire to elevate brands with clarity and quiet confidence.
When I’m not working, I am usually out for a long walk, getting coffee and/or spending time with my dog, Dudley.
